Dogs are People Too: Portraits of Man’s Best Friend
painting by Dan Adams
Dogs are People Too is an exhibition dedicated to dogs. Organizers, Dorothy Annette and Grace Matthews call all San Diego artists to submit work with dog as the subject. This group show will be a celebration of our relationship with man’s best friend and an exploration in medium and expression.
About the gallery and this exhibition:
BorrelliSpace is a co-operative of visual artists working together to make their studios and gallery space an active part of the University Heights community. The artists work in individual studios with the shared value of excellence in the execution of work. This exhibition is a celebration of the beloved canines that become muses for many artists’ work.
About the juror:
Dan Adams is a self-taught artist who has been exhibiting his work in solo and group exhibitions for nearly thirty years. For the past three years Adams has used dogs as his subject matter for his paintings. His dogs were recently on exhibit in “The Runt Show” at the Riverside Museum.
